Hello all. Just registered, brand new to riding ( literally never been on a bike) but just picked up my first Suzuki 250. Newish to Wasaga beach. Not sure when trails open or even when they open, any info would be great
Thanks

Trails are supposed to open May 1st. Not sure if that's still the plan with the lockdown.

Let’s hope, where can I get information of trails allowed to use?

SCORRA provides detailed trail maps for all County forest tracts where we are permitted to ride and have trails. These are available for SCORRA members. If you join SCORRA then you get access to the maps.

All trails are currently closed! Target date for trails to open is May 1st, so please respect our landowner agreement and do not ride till the trails are officially open.

Keep in mind that currently all unessential travel is banned by Provincial rules due to the status of the pandemic. So unless these travel rules are relaxed by opening day (hopefully May 1), that means unless you live very close to a designated SCORRA forest tract, you legally are not allowed to drive/trailer to the forests to ride.

The "stay at home" emergency order does not have an exemption to ride your dirt bike at a distant location. You are allowed to leave your home for "outdoor exercise"....but that means going outside in your neighborhood.....driving longer distances to get to a forest is not likely included in "outdoor exercise" and may risk a fine if you get caught.

Usually takes 24 hours to update your status here to member and grant access to trail maps, but the OFTR's hosting provider changed how they provide access to the club membership list which has broken our automated update processes, since we can't download new member information, as of a week or so ago.

Not sure when we'll be able to get that fixed. Maybe this weekend if I can find the time to look at what they broke and work around it.

My comments were not aimed at your as much Danny, as for other people that might be reading the thread. :D
